3 Must-Have Pieces of Equipment For Your Next Meeting

Oct 23, 2015 by Steve Rick in  Live Events

Don’t go into your next meeting or presentation unprepared. Your position, your salary and even your career could depend on this one event and you need to nail it. That’s why you must have these three pieces of audio visual equipment on-hand and ready to go.

Confidence Monitors

Don’t appear sloppy and uncoordinated – come equipped with confidence monitors. It will prevent you from turning your back to the audience, leaving the microphone and pausing to refer to the slides on a screen behind you. Confidence monitors will allow you to have constant access to your content without ever showing the crowd your bad side.

Slide Advancers

Own the stage! Don’t retreat back to the podium to advance through your presentation – it takes up valuable time and makes you look unprepared. With a wireless remote, you can quickly and seamlessly click through your own presentation from anywhere in the room.

Microphone

Don’t count on the venue to provide a microphone for you. Always bring one with you because yelling loud enough so the back of the room can hear is never a good look. Just remember it’s all about placement. When using a lav, make sure you place the mic approximately 1 inch below your collarbone and 6-12 inches away from your mouth if using a handheld mic.

At CitiView Audio Visual, we’ve got what you need. We supply any and all audio visual equipment needed to make your next event stand out. Give us a call today at 212-632-5196 to speak with our experts today!

What is Webcasting?

Aug 14, 2015

How can you get Jim in Dallas all of the information he needs from a business meeting even though he’s hundreds of miles away? The days of sending large files recapping the meeting are over. Now, Jim can sit in on the meeting in real time even though he’s not physically in the building. How? Live webcasts.

What is Webcasting?

A webcast means that you are taking media (whether it’s a corporate meeting or any other live event) and broadcasting it in real time over the internet. The process involves streaming which sends the information to computers or other electronic devices without having to save and send the files later on.

How Does it Work?

Put into simple terms, audio or visual content can be transferred to a streaming software from a video camera or speaker. The content is then encoded and sent to a special server where it is delivered. This is how Jim in Dallas can log on to his computer and have access to the meeting as it takes place.

With webcasting services from CitiView Audio Visual, your employees will never have to miss a meeting again. We offer multi-camera switching, picture-in-picture and content delivery so you can captivate your audience whether they are down the street or across the sea. Call us today to find out how we can help!

Why Record Your Next Event?

Jun 12, 2015

Don’t be like the thousands of people who wish they had a copy of their event to look at after the big day. When planning your next event we highly recommend considering recording it so you can go over it to find out what went well and what didn’t, and that’s just one of the benefits. Find out a few more reasons why you should record your next event below:iStock_000039859106_Large

No matter how big or small your event is going to be, you can never go wrong by having it recorded. Not only will you able to pinpoint positives and negatives to better prepare for future presentations, you can use the content for podcasts, video promotions and even ads on social media!

First, you need to decide what the video will be used for. Is it going to be turned into a tutorial for training purposes within your company? Is it going to be released to the public? This is a vital step because it will also help you determine the type of lighting, audio and sound equipment that you will need for the event.

According to Events Uncovered, “One of the most difficult aspects of recording an event is the audio. Any event that is heavy on talking will need to have good audio to make it worthwhile.” For this reason, we strongly encourage the use of professional audio engineers and expert video recorders. That’s where we come in!

CitiView Audio Visual has the tools and expertise you need to help organize your event. We bring your presentation to life by administering state of the art audio, visual, staging, and video streaming services. CitiView Audio Visual offers cutting edge AV production and recording equipment to make your event a memorable one. Give us a call at 212-632-5196 the next time you’re preparing for an event.

I was watching a presentation recently and it was so distracting each time the presenter went over to their computer to change the slide. Besides taking up time like you mentioned, it also loses the interest of your listeners when you have pauses in your presentation. From now on I’ll make sure I always use slide advancers so I can keep up the energy. Thanks!
