Ditch the long paragraphs and even the bullet points – use images instead. How many times have you sat in on a presentation only to be bored to tears? How To Get The Most Out of a Business Meeting

Don’t waste your time and energy with a lousy business meeting. When nothing gets accomplished not only is it frustrating for you, the company wastes valuable resources. How can you get the most of your next business meeting? See below to find out:

  1. Have a clear-cut goal in mind: it’s vital to understand why you are having the meeting and what you want to accomplish during it. Write down a few goals beforehand and don’t leave until you get the answers you are looking for.
  2. Come up with a plan: once you have a list of goals, you need to create a plan on how you will communicate these goals to the audience. Be as straightforward as possible and be willing to answer questions.
  3. Encourage participation: try to make everyone feel involved. Nobody likes when one or two people take over. Ask questions and provide handouts if you think it will help the audience stay focused.
  4. Change it up: if you always use the same items during your meetings, it may be time to switch it up. Try using projection screens to display slides and consider using audio equipment if the people farthest from you will have trouble hearing.

I like your comment about creating a checklist. I agree with you, having a checklist and a plan can help you stay on track and organize your event properly. Also, when it comes to technology, it always helps to test the equipment beforehand to ensure it works properly.
